Takes time to learn new ways in doing what was simple for you in adobe. If you come from adobe, there is a learning curve too affinity. Personally I like affinity photo's masking over adobe. For example affinity designer is still missing auto tracing tool and knife tool, while there are work arounds it is not as simple. Affinity is still missing many features that the community has been asking for. While Affinity can open and save in PSD and SVG file format, it is not perfect and some parts do not translate or is lost between Affinity and Adobe.Īdobe is feature rich and has been around for decades, and adding new features every year. Most companies or clients may send or need you to send PSD, or SVG files all adobe files standards. You will find that adobe is industry standard. Also I believe affinity will perform well on your hardware, at least better than Adobe will.
What you have described I believe that it will be perfect for what you plan to do with it. For most users I would hands down say affinity is the way to go. It all depends upon what you need the software for.
